Roads, Bridges and Major Projects

Resource Collection

One in five miles (173,000 miles total) of United States highways, major roads, and more than 43,500 bridges are in poor condition. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) allocates $110 billion of new funds to repair roads, bridges, and support transformational projects, with the single largest dedicated bridge investment since the construction of the interstate highway system. The projects are also expected to create good-paying union jobs, increase regional and national economic opportunities, and make our transportation system safer and more resilient.
