Webinar Summary

Microgrids are small-scale electric power networks that help cities increase the use of renewables and decrease dependence on conventional electric power networks. Through the use of smart power management technologies to balance local supply and demand for electricity, microgrids can increase the supply of renewable energy and improve power supply reliability. This session helped cities understand how microgrids can reduce peak power consumption and improve resilience, as well as blended project finance strategies available through IIJA and IRA sources.
