The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program provides $430 million in flexible funding for local governments to cut carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and reduce energy use. The funding is provided by formula, so it is available to eligible cities (check your eligibility here) now once they fill out a simplified application or request to receive reimbursements (“vouchers”) for eligible project expenses.
